Today i will be sharing with you more about a different aspect of Taekwondo which is Demonstration. Demonstration is to show the different skills that can be taught through taekwondo to others. It usually happens in a skit where there will be kicking of planks and unarm combat.

The korean Tigers are one of the most famous Taekwondo Demonstration Team in The world and here are some of their pictures:

Of course the videos of the korean tiger's performance must be shown and here it is:

This act was done during a Taekwondo Demonstration Competition.
This is another demonstration done by the Korean Tigers in Paris in 2003.

MMA - Equipments and Training guide.

Moving on to the next topic, equipment and training!

Equipment:
So what are the some common and basic equipment that a MMA fighter must use in training as well as in the cage?

Basic (Must have) : Gloves
Gloves are important in MMA as protection is needed for the fighter as you would be using you hands very often. Here is a picture of how a MMA glove looks like:

Other protective gears :
All fighters are recommended to wear a groin cup during MMA training, especially during sparring. It protects your private areas, so you would not regret wearing one! Here are some pictures of groin guards/cups:

mouth guard is also highly needed in MMA fighting. A mouthpiece will protect the safety of your teeth, and may also help to avoid concussions. A tip is that a cheap mouthpiece would be hard to put on. A hybrid style mouth guard  is one that is already well formed to the contours of your teeth and mouth.
Here are some images of mouth piece/guard:

Next up, training.
Basically, there are 3 main areas which you need to train.

MMA Training Exercises
For an MMA fighter, having great physical stamina is important for training and fighting. Many of the cardio routines found in mixed martial arts have been brought over from boxing. As such, skipping rope is a popular and important form of cardio as well as warm up. Another benefit from skipping rope is that it is cheap, and yet highly effective at strengthening your stamina. Furthermore, skipping can be done in a small area and increases a fighter’s sense of rhythm. It also allows the fighter to focus the importance for a him/her to remain on the balls of his feet.

Cardio Exercises for MMA
Jogging is another popular excercise for fighters. Jogging is highly effective at improving cardio, but many people discover that they will tend to get painful shin splints from regular running. This is one of the negative point of running.
Cycling has similar benefits to jogging, but less of the hard impact felt by runners on their joints. This is why many shin split suffers choose to ride a bike in place of jogging.

Strength Training
Mixed martial arts fighter will train for strength as part of their regular workout routine. Usually, many fighters start at a weight gym, and lift weights according to their goals. Some will choose less repetitions and more weight as a means to bulk up and produce more explosive power, while others will do the opposite to cultivate better stamina. Many fighters insist on using non-orthodox strength techniques to acquire abilities specifically for MMA fighting. These may include lifting heavy objects like tractor tires and sledge hammers. Fighters may also use elastic bands to provide resistance while doing bag work, or squeezing basketballs to simulate choke holds. New training methods are being discovered all the time.

So as usual, heres a training motivational video, as I personally find motivational videos are important as it will inspire you more and more everyday!

Muay Thai "8 points of contact"

Hello all! It's Marcus again hope you have enjoyed the past few post i have share with you all. And again today I will be sharing about the last 2 "points of contact" in Muay thai the legs, or rather, kicking known as "Te" in the Thai Language.

The kicking in Muay thai usually needs the full body rotation.

Below is the different kicking techniques that I am going to share, followed by their Thai romanization.

Straight Kick(Te trong)
Roundhouse Kick(Te tat)
Diagonal Kick(Te chiang)
Half-Shin, Half-Knee kick(Te khrueng khaeng khureng khao)
Spinning Heel Kick(Te klap lang)
Down Roundhouse Kick(Te kot)
Axe Heel Kick(Te khao)
Jump Kick(Kradot te)
Step-Up Kick(Khayeop te)

The kicking in muay Thai can be very deadly as when a person is trained hard enough he can even break a banana tree with his bare legs. Below is a video on breaking a banana tree using pure leg kicking and of course years of shin conditioning.

I DO NOW OWN ANYTHING IN THIS VIDEO! IT IS JUST AN ADAPTATION FROM YOUTUBE!!                                                                                        The next video is a video on kicking techniques.
I Hope you enjoy this post hope you will tune in again! The next post is on Muay Thai self training and training under supervision! Don't you want to know how to self train? There is no trick by the way! Thanks for reading and comment below! See you again!
